STEP 2 (Due October 15): Complete the Registration Form. Overestimate rather than underestimate your attendance. It's easier to remove students from the scoring program than add them.
STEP 3: Collect the 2025-26 WPAD Permission Form from your students and bring them with you the day of competition. You and your administrator may sign a master copy before distributing to your students. This permission form is good for the entire PAAD competition season through the state championships.
STEP 4: Have students bring $15.00, cash or check made out to "PA Academic Decathlon." If you're paying by school and need a W9 form, contact Phil Cerami at phil@pa-ad.org. If a student brings a volunteer, this fee is reduced to $10.00. (If you need one, sign and submit the Fee Waiver Form).
Please note that new schools do NOT have to pay regular season fees for one year.

STEP 4: Complete USAD GPA Forms for all students attending the competition. Either complete and bring paper copies of your team’s GPA forms and official, sealed transcripts OR email GPA forms and have your guidance department submit official transcripts to phil@pa-ad.org by December 23.
Students without a GPA Form or transcript on competition day will need to compete in the Honors Division for this tournament.
Students will need the 2024-25 and 2023-24 school years documented on the GPA form and transcripts / report cards, except 9th grade students who will need the only 8th grade end of year report card.
Coaches may exercise discretion if they have Honors division students whom they do not believe it likely that those students will be in the starting lineup at Regionals or States. Those students may compete in the Honors division without GPA Forms / Transcripts submitted.

STEP 6: After you have administered the Essay event, complete the PAAD Online Event Proctor Certification Form and either email it to phil@pa-ad.org or bring it with you to the physical competition.

Teams may have this fee reduced by a maximum of $100.00 by bringing volunteers for Essay, Speech, or Interview: $25.00 per volunteer for a maximum of 4 volunteers.
Individual competitors may have their participation fee reduced to $30.00 by bringing a volunteer.
Judges should indicate on their registration form what team and/or individual they would like the discount to apply to. Judge registrations after January 23rd will not be accepted for a discount.

STEP 2: (Due January 16): Complete the Registration Form. Overestimate rather than underestimate your attendance for alternates. It's easier to remove students from the scoring program than add them. Changes can be made to your starting lineup up through February 9th with Alternates, provided the alternate has GPA forms / transcripts on file that match the GPA division they are participating in.
STEP 3: Collect the 2025-26 WPAD Permission Form from your students and bring them with you the day of competition. You and your administrator may sign a master copy before distributing to your students. This permission form is good for the entire PAAD competition season through the state championships. Students with a Permission Form on file from scrimmages do not need to resubmit.
STEP 4 (Due January 16): Complete USAD GPA Forms for all students attending the competition. Either complete and bring paper copies of your team’s GPA forms and official, sealed transcripts OR email GPA forms and have your guidance department submit official transcripts to phil@pa-ad.org by December 23.

Only students that did NOT participate at the Winter Scrimmage need to have GPA / Transcripts submitted at this time. We need time to verify the transcript and GPA form, so submitting at competition is not possible.
Teams and individuals that earn PAAD State Championship berths will have their official GPA forms and transcripts forwarded to the PAAD State office on your behalf.
